Guess What? 121 Year-Old Sex Toy Sells For £1,625

An antique vibrator has raked in the big bucks at the Christie’s Out of the Ordinary auction, Metro UK reports.

The instrument , which sold for a whopping £1,625 (N429,404.34),  was described as ‘slightly used’ but it still managed to get “bidders all excited”.

The sex toy, which dates back to 1893, was called an ‘electrical instrument’ by Christie’s, and was listed as having ‘some light wear, scuffing and scratches, consistent with age.’

The vibrator was made out of celluloid and white metal by noted physician American Dr. Benjamin Boyd and was used by the doctor in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to treat women for ‘female hysteria’.
