Photos: Nicki Minaj Plays The Sensual Woman For Roberto Cavalli Campaign

Nicki Minaj, the bootylicious rapper and occasional actress, has turned her talented hand to modelling for Roberto Cavalli spring/summer 2015 campaign heaven- taking over from fellow popstar Rita Ora, who was bestowed the honour this winter.

Roberto Cavalli's whose logo is snake which only serves to reinforces the brand's belief that this is a match made in campaign heaven.


"I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman" explained 74-year-old Cavalli, who has built up a brand based on flamboyant designs in outré cuts. And it turns out that Minaj's voluptuous derriere is what piqued the Florentine mogul's eye. 


"In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes," he says. "With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves, rather she make them as a strength."

Francesco Carrozzini captured the hit-maker in a set of images that evoke the luxurious, jet-set lifestyle of the Roberto Cavalli woman who is already planning her next sun-soaked jaunt. Showcasing Cavalli's zebra-print gowns and embroidered crop-tops, Minaj is a natural in front of the camera.
