Photo: Woman Dumps Fianc`e Because She Caught Him Head-Butting Her Dog

A Brazilian man named, Rafael Hermida (pictured above) has been dumped by his fianc'e Hanhan after she filmed him appearing to HEADBUTT her beloved pet dog in a seemingly deplorable act.

Hanhan, had set up a secret camera in their flat in Sao Paulo, Brazil, although it is unclear why she was suspicious of her fianc'e.

At first, the Hermida appears to be playing with the dog, but his behaviour took a shocking turn.

Hermida, begins to head-butting the dog, seemingly without being provoked, before holding it up in the air by its back legs. He then appears to drop the French bulldog on its head before the poor dog runs away and hides under the table.

Mirror Online has decided to censor the clip due to its graphic nature.

After viewing the footage, the woman swiftly called off the engagement and ended the relationship, according to a report broadcast on Brazilian TV show More You, uk mirror reports.

Cynthia Osokogwu Nude Photos Were Planted By Police- Suspect

A prime suspect in the murder of Cynthia Osokogwu, Okwumo Nwabufor, yesterday told an Igbosere High Court that the nude photos of the deceased found by the police in his laptop were planted by the police.

He said: “When the police searched my residence, they took my iPhone and my iPad. They must have put the photographs into the laptop.”

Nwabufor, who was being cross-examined by a defence counsel, Michael Ajayi, said the police threatened his life and tortured him into making written and video taped confessional statements.

“The police tortured and threatened me into admitting that I and Olisa Chidera (the second defendant) committed the crime.

“There is no truth in my statements to the police, I made those admissions in my confessional statement because I feared for my life,” he said.

Nwabufor, 35, is standing trial before Justice Olabisi Akinlade, alongside Olisa Chidera, 25; Orji Osita, 34 and Ejike Ifechukwu, 26, over alleged murder of their Facebook friend, Miss Cynthia Osokogwu, 24, a postgraduate student of Nasarawa State University, at Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View Estate, Festac Town, Lagos on July 22, 2012 .

Meanwhile, a mild drama, ensued in court as the trial had to be stopped abruptly   because Ajayi, the defence counsel of the second defendant, Chidera, was unwilling to cross-examine his client when he took the witness stand.

“My Lord, I am unwilling to open cross examination because my client is ill with severe stomach pains. He reported to me this morning that he was sick,” Ajayi told the court.

Justice Akinlade registered her displeasure at Ajayi’s unwillingness to start the process of cross-examination of the defendant

“Ajayi has not been diligent in the prosecution of this matter, at every proceeding you always come up with one excuse or the other,” the judge admonished.

Police Arrest 27-Year-Old Serial Rapist in Calabar

A 27-year-old serial rapist, Stephen Nyong, a native of Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, who resides at 18b, Inyang Edem Street, Mount Zion, Calabar, as he was arrested by youths of the community.

Vanguard gathered that Stephen and his gang, who have been on rampage terrorizing women in the neighbourhood for about a decade, intensified their nefarious activities by visiting almost every compound each night since the beginning of this year, where they rape women and girls.

According to the village head of Ndom Ndang, Muri Okon Effiong, who spoke with Vanguard, the 
gang has been operating in his domain for a very long time. He said:

“As the custodian of this place, the chief and I took a decision to deal with them and we have arrested one today (yesterday).
“He and other gang members have raped over 60 girls. He alone had defiled over 20 girls this 2015. He has been chased in more than three compounds but was not caught. His sins have caught up with him today.”

Chief Effiong revealed that Edem doesn’t only rape the girls but also makes sure he stabs and injures them as well as cart away any valuable within reach.

“It was last Sunday night’s attack that got the youths in the area enraged and they decided to lay siege for him and their kingpin on our instruction. Unfortunately, the leader of the gang, who is now at large, is responsible for grooming them over the years,” the monarch said.

According to a resident, Mrs Agnes Ubong, who also spoke with Vanguard, the suspect was a brutal rapist who showed no mercy to any of his victims as he stabbed them with his dagger after defiling them.

“After defiling my neighbour, Mary and her roommate, he stabbed both of them on the head and he also took their phones and N8,000 from them. They were both taken to the hospital this morning (yesterday),” she said.

Two Female Suicide Bombers Hit Niger Town

 Two suspected female suicide bombers attacked the Niger frontier town of Diffa Yesterday, Wednesday, 11th, according to security sources reports, shortly after Chadian army said it had killed 13 fighters from the Boko Haram sect in the Nigerian town of Gambaru.

The violence on Nigeria’s borders with Niger and Cameroon occurred as regional armies are mobilising to foil Boko Haram’s bid to carve out an emirate around Lake Chad, which borders Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger.

Boko Haram’s five-year-old insurgency has killed thousands in northern Nigeria but regional armies said they have killed hundreds of militants in battles along the borders since deploying troops to contain the threat.

“There were two suicide attacks carried out on Wednesday by women,” said a police source, referring to the Diffa attack. “The two women died and I think they were the only victims.”
Reuters was not able to verify whether there were any other casualties.

Earlier in the day, clashes erupted in the Nigerian town of Gambaru, on the eastern border with Cameroon, where Chad has deployed hundreds of soldiers to help Cameroon ward off attacks from Boko Haram.

Chad’s army said 11 Chadian soldiers were wounded, three out of 14 Boko Haram vehicles were destroyed, and one was seized.

“We knew they were going to attack us. We were waiting. The battle didn’t last long. They fled,” a military source said.

32-Year-Old Woman Paid Armed Robber N20,000 To Deal With Her Ex-lover

A 32-Year-Old woman, Janet Effiong (pictured above) have been arrested by the police for allegedly conniving with a suspected armed robber to attack her ex-lover who is a cab driver, who had cheated on her with another lady.

Effiong was arrested along with a robbery suspect, Femi Talabi, who helped her to carry out the operation.


They were arrested on Airport Road, near Ajao Estate, in the Isolo area of Lagos on Saturday, February 7, at about 7.30pm by policemen attached to the Rapid Response Squad,Punch Reports.


They were thereafter transferred to the state Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja.

Effiong, who owned a restaurant in the VGC area of Lekki, had hired Talabi, who was one of her patrons, for N20,000 to attack her ex-lover, identified simply as Murphy.

Talabi had allegedly agreed to get two more men, and had collected N10, 000 as advance payment from Effiong.

It was learnt that on the day of the incident, Talabi reportedly contacted Murphy, who worked as a cab driver, to take him to Ajao Estate, with the intention of carrying out the attack on the road.

It was, however, gathered when Talabi brought out a toy gun to threaten his victim, the RRS policemen swooped on the two men and got Talabi arrested.

Effiong, who hailed from Uruan, Akwa Ibom State, said she hired Talabi to deal with her ex-lover because Murphy forced her to abort her pregnancy on two occasions and later abandoned her for other women.

She said, “I contacted Femi (Talabi) to help me deal with my former lover. Murphy and I had been dating since 2012. I lavished money on him, thinking he would marry me. He even borrowed N200, 000 from me and failed to pay back.

“He also impregnated me on two occasions and he forced me to abort them. I insisted I would not abort the third one, and he promised to take care of the baby. But it was a lie.

“So, I hired Femi to trace him and beat him up. Femi said he would get two other friends to do the job. I did not know he would go alone. I promised to pay Femi N20,000.

“I did not plan to kill my lover. I only wanted to punish him for neglecting me for other women.”

Also, 35-year-old Talabi who hails from Epe, Lagos, said the cab driver became suspicious as he wanted to attack him and a physical fight started during which attracted the policemen that arrested him and his victim.

He said, “I live in the Bariga area, but work as an Air conditioner technician in Lekki. I am not a cultist. It was Janet (Effiong) who contacted me to do a job for her. I knew her as a restaurant manager. She said the man was her ex-lover and had abandoned her.

“I called him to take me in his cab to a destination on Airport Road, Isolo, where the attack would take place. I was to pay him N7,000 for the trip. Janeth told me to only assault, and not to kill him. While in the cab, I lied that I wanted to ease myself and he stopped. When he did, I brought out a toy gun and wanted to hit him on the head, but a fight started and we as were struggling with each other, the police found out, and they arrested both of us.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the arrest, adding that the police had concluded investigations on the matter.

Photo: 29-Year-Old Woman Commits Suicide For Turning 30 Without A Husband Or Kids

29-year-old Rachel Gow, (pictured above) from Haslingden, Lancashire, whose greatest wish was to get married and have kids but unfortunately she killed herself after becoming troubled that she was approaching 30 years and still unmarried and childless, struggled to overcome the death of her mother, and desperately wanted a family of her own.

According to Dailymail, but as her 30th birthday approached, she revealed to family members that she felt she was 'not where she should be in life' and that other members of her family were 'doing better than her.'

The inquest was told that she was worried her boyfriend Anton Tsvarev, 30 would leave her, and suffered a number of insecurities about the relationship.

The day she died, Miss Gow sent him a text message wishing him 'all the best for the future' before poisoning herself. Mr Tsvarev who had been visiting a friend later found Miss Gow but she died despite attempts by him to revive her.

The day before Rachel was found last November 1, the couple went to her father's house to look after his dog while he was away. But in the morning, the couple had an argument over a text message Miss Gow had found on Mr Tsvarev's phone from someone else.

He said:

'In the morning we both got up. I had my phone on charge in the bed room. She looked at it. She came into the living room very upset telling me to leave. She had found texts on my phone from someone. They were not out of the ordinary. She didn't see it that way.'

Later that the day couple drove home to their house in Haslingden and Anton went out to visit a friend in Preston.

He said:

'She was still upset when we arrived home. She was very agitated. This was not a new thing. 'I got a text from her wishing me the best for the future. It was common place after an argument so I didn't think anything of it.'

However Mr Tsvarev 'had a really bad feeling' so he decided to go back to Haslingden to see if everything was all right. 

He said:

' I went into the lounge. The lights were off but the fire was on. I could see her lying on the floor.'....

Obasanjo Has One Leg In PDP And Another In APC- Ayo Fayose

The Governor of Ekiti State, Gov Ayo Fayose mark his 100 days in office as the Governor and he opened up on his feelings towards the Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and also his thoughts towards Gen Buhari.

I am not saying I am perfect, but people close to me know that I am frank and blunt to a fault. I don’t like hiding behind a finger. The advert is to warn us as a nation to avoid mistakes that we made in the past and which really drove us close to the precipice. The bitter truth that some people may not want to hear is that General Muhammadu Buhari is too old for the assignment some people, for their selfish reasons, want to force on him. I don’t have apology over the advert, it is my personal opinion.

Before the advert, the APC had arranged to fly Buhari out for medical check up. It was even published in a newspapers. But they could not go on with the arrangement because of the advert. Tell me, who is fooling who?. Was it not Obasanjo who said Yar’Adua was hale and hearty in 2007 to rule the country? And the man died mid- way. It is the same Obasanjo that is again branding another old horse. The advert is meant to appeal to sense of reasoning, to avoid pitfall, it is not death wish as my critics termed it.

    Why should I apologise? I have nobody to apologise to over the matter. I only expressed my personal opinion and that is guaranteed under the constitution of Nigeria, our dear country

On Obasanjo

I don’t have anything personal against Obasanjo. I see him shooting the tyre of the vehicle that is conveying us which is PDP. If the vehicle should have an accident, all of us will be in for it. While he was the president of this country, he was intolerant to criticism from within the party.

Some people lost their positions for criticising his actions. In developed countries like America, you can’t find former presidents openly criticising the incumbent. It is not that they agree with policies or actions of the person in power. They have ways of expressing their positions to the president without the public or the press knowing. Obasanjo is not the only former president in this country. 

Why don’t others act like him?. He likes playing to the gallary. It is like you don’t know who Obasanjo is. He has made up his mind about President Goodluck Jonathan and there is no way anyone can pacify him.

Despite all the appeals and meetings with him by various PDP leaders, including President Jonathan, has he changed? No. If a tooth is rotten, it is better it is removed before others get infected as well. Don’t forget, he has one leg in PDP and the second leg in APC. All his boys are in APC.


His attitude is if it is not him, it must not be anybody else. Was he not the one who told us in 2011 that if it is not Jonathan, it cannot be any other person to be president. What has gone wrong between then and now? Jonathan has refused himself to be pocketed by Obasanjo. That is his character. We will not allow him to destroy our vehicle. We should not shy away from saying the truth, people can criticize you, but that should not discourage you.
